Due to a staff member supporting another team, we are looking for an experienced administrator who is organised, detail oriented and customer service focused, to join an established team.

You will be responsible for providing critical administrative support services for both internal and external stakeholders of both NZSBA (membership arm) and GovHub (operational arm). As part of Shared Services, our National Administrators work together as a cohesive and integral team both nationally and regionally to provide an effective level of service which meets the day-day requirements of the organisation.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Phone / Email triaging
  • Facilities Management
  • Meeting coordination
  • Travel Arrangements
  • Vehicle Management
  • Live events coordination

This is a fixed-term full-time position for 10-11 months, (40 hours per week) based in NZSBAs national office on Lambton Quay, Wellington Central. 

About you

  • Minimum three years' experience in an administration or office-based role, is desirable
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, travel booking platforms, and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Organised, self-managing, and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines under pressure
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality customer service
  • Professional integrity, including the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and comfort working in a te reo Māori environment
