About the role
Advisors in our Advisory Support Centre (ASC) fulfil an important role in supporting schools in the compulsory education sector. As part of the governance team, you are typically the first point of contact for schools with a governance query or issue.
You will take inbound calls and respond to emails, providing advice to those enquiries which can be answered at point of contact or within a 48-hour timeframe. Queries requiring ongoing support are triaged then referred to our regional advisory teams to be case managed.
We have a full suite of resources for your use plus access to our principal advisors and the national governance team for support and guidance.
The opportunity to work on a diverse range of governance enquiries will keep you busy and stimulated. The advice and support you provide will assist boards and their delegates to resolve queries or access ongoing regional support.
The work of our ASC team is appreciated and valued by the compulsory school sector, the Ministry of Education, and our sector partners.
We can offer a full or part-time position as follows:
This position is based in our national office on Lambton Quay, Wellington. However, suitable candidates from other regions will be considered. Flexible working arrangements (including working from home) subject to negotiation are available for this role.
Our advisors have diverse and varied backgrounds; but we all align with our organisation values and appreciate the key role we play in strengthening governance practices within the schools that we serve.
